Director Prabhu Deva's upcoming Tamil movie with Vishal and Sameera Reddy in the lead is titled Vedi and here is the first look poster of the same.
The movie was earlier titled Prabhakaran and due to the troubles of the title's similarity to the LTTE chief of the same name, the movie was later titled Vedi. This film is a remake of the Telugu film Souryam. The movie also has Poonam Kaur as the second female lead.
The film unit has roped in Vivek for comedy relief, while Bollywood's hot girl Sophie Choudary makes a special appearance for a item song. 
The film's music is scored by Vijay Antony, Cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and editing by VT Vijayan. The film prduced under the banner of Vishal's brother's production house GK Films Corporation. The film is said to be a Diwali release.
